Couples Therapy

I work with couples wanting growth in their relationship with their partner and with themselves; desiring to explore relational patterns and dynamics. Some topics that may be explored within couples therapy include:

• Dynamics from childhood that are influencing adult relationships

• Difficulties around Parent-Child connections and entering into Parenthood

• Pressures from society or family, gender roles, finances, intimacy, and work-life balance

• Feeling misunderstood by your partner and disconnected

• Desire to address areas of conflict and build greater connection and understanding

When there is a strain and disconnect in our relationships, it can be incredibly lonely and painful. The ability to engage in these conversations, reflections, and curiosities is so crucial in building movement towards healthier and more fulfilling relationships and lives. In my work I strive to build safety for each partner and to explore each partner’s perspective. Together we can work towards gaining deeper reflections within your relationship and discovering what’s underlying various behaviors.

Within my experience and training, it has been shown that we as individuals can heal, learn, and grow within various relationships. Many research studies have demonstrated the impact and significance that relationships have throughout the lifespan. Exploring attachments and how one moves within a relationship can shed light on so many factors and allow for growth and needed shifts, while building upon moments of vulnerability and open communication.
