Families and Parents
I enjoy supporting families build connection and understanding, creating healthy new dynamics and patterns. Parenting can be a wonderful and rewarding venture, and yet such an exhausting one! It’s vital that there is compassion and a community built for all families and parents. You don’t have to walk this alone or in the dark. I’ve loved my work over the years supporting all varieties of families; including parents, caregivers within the foster care system, those adopting, single parents, coparenting, and those building parent-child connections. Parenting can bring up so many of one’s own insecurities and triggers, and it’s important to have an abundance of support and care.
Some of the topics within family therapy, or caregiver support may include:
• Attachment and developmental stages
• Gaining psychoeducation and tools
• Perinatal support and transitioning to parenthood
• Building knowledge, resources, and community
• Understanding the roots of behavior
• Creating new dynamics, connection, and healthy communication
• Partner dynamics, power, and gender
• Navigating values, culture, and beliefs
You are not alone.
We all need help and guidance when building our families and raising other humans.
